Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell during the first round. After that, she went back to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her first professional bout. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar in the 2nd round. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock down McGill via TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina by grounding and pounding her, winning the TKO in second round. She repeated her dominance and racked up an stunning victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger within the first few seconds and received a bonus for the performance of the evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd took home the night's main event fight bonus after both fighters fought hard in a tense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
