Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue l. Ellis, is an American producer and actress who has worked in theater as well as television and film productions also, has been actively involved on both sides of the screen. She began acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, as well as television shows. She gained fame for playing Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made appearances on BET's acclaimed TV series The Book of Negroes. In 1995, she made her debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway performance of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film work is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. In television, her role in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
